Cassiterite Crystals Meanings and Properties
Cassiterite is the main ore of tin, with surprising qualities. As one would expect with its dark brown, almost black colour, initially one feels calm, contained, grounded and protected while holding it, and the mineral can be used for these attributes alone. However, when held for a period of time in meditation or with intention, a process is initiated, opening and clearing first the sacral chakra, then moving up to the heart and upper heart centres, opening, clearing and expanding them, almost to the point of pain. Physically, it supports the heart as an organ, strengthens and opens the lungs and bronchus, and can be useful in treating asthma. Spiritually, it teaches us higher love and true compassion.
